Hey y’all , fall is here and so is my baby boy!!
He was born August 19,2017 at 7 lbs 9 oz and 20 inches long ! This was an all natural birth at a hospital and it was nothing like I was expecting it to be. It started when my water broke on Friday night and I didn’t notice until Saturday morning at 4am! After a quick call to the nurse on duty , I confirmed that it’s happening. But did I wake my husband up in a panic? NOPE I showered, shaved my legs, ran the dishwasher , packed snacks and ate my breakfast at my own pace and THEN I woke him up so he can freak out. Hahah
It went pretty smoothly mostly but I would never wish this kind of pain on anybody. It was a mixture of regular and back labor mixed with a relatively strong dosage of pitocin. The pitocin was unfortunatly needed because my water was already broken so they needed to speed up the contractions. OH BOY was i happy for a bath tub in the room they let me go in when I was 5 cm dilated. When I got in the tub, it was only a short 20 minutes and 5 pushes until my little guy joined us!
These pictures are of him already 1 month old because it was the only time I got some cooperation out of him! I did not get a sleepy little newborn that I could move around and photograph, instead I got a serial cluster feeder and light sleeper. There was no way I was going to chance waking him up for pictures if I could be sleeping too! ( I’m sure you moms can understand….)
Welcome to the world Samuel ❤️
